Position Overview: As a Digital Banking and core Banking Specialist in our Co-op Bank, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank’s digital transformation and ensuring seamless core banking and digital banking services for our customers. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing various digital banking platforms, enhancing customer experiences, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Core Banking Operations:
    1. Manage and oversee the core banking system, ensuring its reliability, accuracy, and availability.
    1. Monitor and resolve any technical issues related to the core banking platform.
    1. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and patches.
    1. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the core banking system.
  2. Digital Channel Management:
    1. Monitor and maintain digital banking platforms, including internet banking, mobile banking, and other digital channels.
    1. Collaborate with IT and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
    1. Ensure the availability and reliability of digital banking services around the clock.
  3. Customer Experience Enhancement:
    1. Continuously improve user experiences across digital platforms by identifying pain points and proposing enhancements.
    1. Gather customer feedback and work with cross-functional teams to implement user-friendly features and improvements to ensure customer delight
  4. Transaction Monitoring and Security:
    1. Monitor online transactions for any suspicious activities and potential fraud.
    1. Implement security measures and work closely with cyber-security teams to safeguard customer data and maintain regulatory compliance.
  5. Process Optimization:
    1. Identify opportunities to streamline digital banking processes and enhance operational efficiency.
    1. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement efficient workflows for digital services.
  6. Training and Support:
    1. Conduct training sessions for bank staff to ensure they are well-equipped to guide customers through digital platforms.
    1. Provide technical support to customers and internal staff, addressing queries and resolving issues.
  7. Regulatory Compliance:
    1. Stay updated with RBI guidelines and other regulatory requirements pertaining to digital banking operations.
    1. Ensure that digital banking services align with regulatory standards and security protocols.
  8. Data Analysis and Reporting
    1. Analyze digital banking usage data and generate as to performance, preference, behavior, and trend insights to drive informed decisions.
    1. Prepare regular reports for management showcasing the performance of digital banking channels.

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, IT, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in core banking & digital banking operations within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of digital banking platforms, mobile applications, and Internet banking systems.
  • Knowledge of RBI regulations and guidelines related to digital banking.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills to address technical issues and enhance user experiences.
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
